During the registration process the new user provides login data and some personal details. The user group is chosen from a set of existing groups inclusing the guest group or, alternatively, a new group is created based on the data provided in the Affiliation field. If the user selects an existing group (not the guest group) then this group will be stored in a 'desired group' field and the user will in the beginning belong to the guest group. The administrator can then choose to change the group assignment of the user to the desired group. Everytime a new user registers the XtalBase administrator receives an e-mail informing him/her about the new user. |
