TERMS OF AGREEMENT
==================

The scripts, programs and all other accompanying files within
the program package XtalBase are hereinafter referred to as
SOFTWARE. Winfried Meining, hereinafter referred to as LICENSOR, grants
to the user of the SOFTWARE, hereinafter referred to as LICENSEE, the
non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to install, use and
copy this SOFTWARE without fee, subject to the following terms and
conditions:

(i) the above copyright notice shall not be changed and must appear
in all copies of the SOFTWARE and both the copyright notice and this
permission notice shall appear in supporting documentation.

(ii) the LICENSEE may install the SOFTWARE solely on computers owned or 
leased by the LICENSEE and located on the LICENSEE's campus or site.    

(iii) the LICENSEE shall not redistribute all or any part of the
SOFTWARE to a third-party without written authorization from the
LICENSOR.

(iv) The LICENSOR retains ownership of the SOFTWARE. Any modifications
or derivative works based on the SOFTWARE are considered part of the
SOFTWARE and ownership is retained by the LICENSOR.

(v) The LICENSOR is not obligated to provide support, maintenance,
consulting, or revision of the SOFTWARE. If the LICENSOR chooses to
release to the LICENSEE updates of, additions to, or modifications of
the SOFTWARE, this agreement shall apply to them as though they were
part of the original SOFTWARE.

(vi) SOFTWARE must be acknowledged by an appropriate citation in 
publications of results or reports obtained by using the SOFTWARE.

This permission supersedes all previous communications, written or oral,
relating to the subject of this permission.

WINFRIED MEINING DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THIS SOFTWARE,
INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS, IN NO
EVENT SHALL WINFRIED MEINING BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM LOSS OF
USE, DATA OR PROFITS, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR
OTHER TORTIOUS ACTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR
PERFORMANCE OF THIS SOFTWARE.
